Collecting and using Command Cores
One durable claim per eligible map milestone, even across replays.
Standard campaign and Endless maps offer Command Core milestones at waves divisible by ten. An eligible milestone produces exactly one recoverable Core after every Overseer assigned to that wave has been defeated and the remaining combat has finished. An escaped Overseer prevents that milestone's recovery during the current attempt.
Collect the dropped Core explicitly. Winning does not silently collect a missing object. A Core lost before collection remains available in a later attempt. A claimed map-and-wave milestone never grants another persistent Core on replay, restart or a later loss.
Active skills
A Core powers one eligible active skill in the Commander screen. A skill can hold at most five. Removing a Core returns it to the available balance; at zero installed Cores the skill is unavailable. Cores never fund passive ranks, and passive points never fund active skills.
Removing a Core ends that skill's current effect but preserves its cooldown. Removing and replacing Cores cannot refresh a cast.
All unlocked active skills are available through the Commander control during a battle; there is no two-slot loadout. More Cores improve the skill's rank. Most actives last 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14 seconds at ranks one through five; Air Supremacy uses 10, 11.25, 12.5, 13.75 or 15 seconds. All use a base cooldown of 300, 275, 250, 225 or 200 seconds before passive timing bonuses. Their clocks pause with the simulation.
The complete campaign ending checks all fifteen completed fronts and their claimed milestones. It does not require an unspent wallet. Inserting recovered Cores never removes the authority already returned to a region.
