Elena Ward

Elena Ward leads operations. Calm, decisive and pragmatic, she protects residents as well as the mission. She listens to objections, resolves them and takes responsibility for the order.

Under pressure she becomes more concise: the priority, then the next step. She does not substitute a speech or a raised voice for a decision. She respects the consent of people affected by the plan.

In the finale she orders the team to hand back the Primary Core and checks that the order will not disconnect civilian services. She does not grant herself authority with her own signature or replace local operators.
